The location is surrounded by the monumental Neo-Renaissance palaces of Ljubljana, on the way to the Tivoli Park in the middle of a beautiful garden.

Chef Mojmir Marko Šiftar – as you have probably already heard, the new Masterchef judge. In his career, he has achieved many successes. He is the former captain of the youth chef team and semi-finalist of the prestigious S. Pellegrino Young Chef 2018 selection, who was named the best young talent of 2019 by the Culinary Guide Gault & Millau and is also the recipient of the Michelin Bib Gourmand Culinary Guide award.

The relatively young team at PEN brings a fresh impetus of imagination, originality and creativity – their main inspiration is nature and its gifts, and they adapt the dishes to the seasons.
They conjured up a unique experience for us with each individual dish, but I would like to praise the excellent service, from start to finish the experience was at the highest level – including the wine pairing.
The place itself has a calming effect, and because of all the great food and drinks, it was quite difficult to leave the restaurant in the end. A superb experience that I would recommend to anyone who cares about cuisine!
