Today we are taking you to the only sparkling wine shop in Slovenia so far!
Modernly equipped PENINOTEKA, which with its story enhances the offer of Rajhenburg Castle, where the Trappist monks lived. PENINOTEKA collects sparkling wines from Posava winemakers, which have achieved national and international accolades such as Decanter, Glass of Bubbly, and are included in the Gault&Millau and other wine guides. Sparkling wines are produced according to the classic method from various grape varieties, mainly royal, chardonnay, white and blue pinot, velvet black, blue frankincense, Lak Riesling, yellow muscat and local yellow plavac.
In Sremič nad Krško, they had their own vineyards with varieties of vines that they brought from France. They produced varietal white and red wines, and already in 1895, they were the first in our area to start producing sparkling wines. Indulge in the experience of tasting bubbles with one of the Posava sommeliers!
