Polonka revives the traditional dishes of Posočje, and at the same time the plates of the old House of Frank, the plates of Valter’s father Frank, such as frika and Frank’s famous English roast beef.
They strive to revive almost forgotten dishes, dishes of the Soča Valley and the mountains above Kobarid. You can also try a number of other home-made dishes, such as homemade gnocchi with cod, Idrija žlikrofe, etc.
We were really impressed with the roast beef, which was one of the best we have ever eaten. I would also recommend the choice of frika and Kobari štrukli.

Valter was one of those responsible for the rise of organic wines in our country, so the wine list at Hiša Polonka does not disappoint. Years ago, Valter added his love for wine to his love for beer and the Feo brewery was created.
Therefore, even beer lovers will come to Polonka.
