Bistro Kaval

Bistro Kaval has historical value. The building was built in 1911 for the needs of an elementary school. In 1991, the former school was bought by the Kraljevi family company. Shortly after the renovation, the post office, the local office and a small shop started operating in it, followed by the Kaval bistro and pizzeria. For two decades, the building provided the pulse of the place, but due to the development of Brusnice, it became too small over the years.
The idea of reviving Kaval recently came to the young generation of the Royal family. Bistro Kaval did not change at all when it reopened. The retro part still has the original equipment, while the new, elegant part has a pleasantly decorated small restaurant that seats about 40 people and a modern multipurpose kitchen. Therefore, today they represent two stories, elegant and retro, which are separated by walls and a separate entrance.

The restaurant, which is only a few steps away from the retro bistro, offers a relaxed atmosphere by the fireplace, which is perfect for hanging out with friends after work, family lunches or a date night.

You can choose from a wide selection of a la carte dishes (pizzas, burgers, other fish and meat dishes), we must also praise their selection of wines and other drinks. Each time of the year, they also prepare a 5-course tasting menu with wine accompaniment, which is an additional reason to come to the village under Gorjanci.
When preparing their dishes, their inspiration is local, homemade, and outside they also have a terrace with a wonderful view of a small park for the warmer months.
