Pizzeria and Cafe Valerie

You know what’s the best part about visiting restaurants all the time? The fact that they still manage to surprise us!
Perhaps many of you know Cafe Valerie, but since March 2023, it is no longer just a cafe and pastry shop, but also a pizzeria, where you can find delicious Neapolitan pizzas.

Their dough is considered unique in Slovenia – they use BIGO – predough fermented with yeast. Bread in which you use bigo as a starter (pre-dough) has a fuller, slightly nutty taste, and is characterized by an open and light structure, full of large holes. We were both really excited! They use high-quality ingredients from Italy, and the pizzas are then baked in a wood-fired bread oven. As an interesting fact, next to each pizza, they also have the following
pairing with beer or wine, which represents a great added value for us! They have a nice selection of Poretti beers on tap, as well as local beers from the ROOSTER brewery.

Valerie is considered a family pizzeria and cafe, where even the youngest are more than welcome. The ambiance is modern, and they also have a really big parking space.

Pizzas are baked from Wednesday to Sunday, from 12:00 p.m. onwards.
